What's a fair buyout price ?

How would one do that math to arrive at a fair figure.
Given the drop in price someone must be looking over those figures.

Assume current multiple does not change. Assume co. doubles in size in next 2 years so stock price doubles. => 41% cagr

I've heard the same arguement for 3+ years now.. "a buyout target" meanwhile the stock has gone no where aside from a few swings for the short term traders.. I've heard this many times "anyone investing with a buyout in mind strategy" should not be investing as that's not really a solid strategy.. The market is telling us what Quipt is worth and its certainly NOT ...more

I'm not sure how the stock price automatically  doubles if/when the company size doubles .Can't figure that out. --What will rise significantly ,  as the company size doubles ,''will be the debt'', and it better not be at 8% .----In the meantime, 170000 clients spread out over 24 states,''half the nation''. ---Pretty thin. ---And it's not the ...more

What is cagr ? Not everyone is familair with these short forms. I would like someone to explain in layman terms what is the accepted buyout formula. I see on TD its fair valuation is over $10.00 but how do they get to that number. Thanks for the feedback.

Hey Balsam. 173 institutions feel the same way and hold this stock for a good reason. Its a going concern growth stock thats spending its money on growing the company and your just going to have to be patient. Don't listen to the riff raff bashers with their constant repetitive krapp because they want cheap shares to flip for a few pennies..
Comment by ramman1 on Jan 17, 2024 9:50am
Some of us are not bashers my friend . Decent company with a great reputation of quality service to thier clients. ----   HOWEVER: (Just stating some obvious observations) .  ----  Maybe do me a favour, ''call some rural outlets '', get some info   from them , then compare to revenue numbers across the company as a whole. ----TAKES A BIT OF TIME  ...more

Please provide me with your list of all rural outlets, locations, phone numbers, that you have so tirelessly researched over the years and I will do follow up. Otherwise I communicate with the company and thats good enough for me. You seem to imply that they are not truthful with shareholders and you have all the facts.
Comment by ramman1 on Jan 17, 2024 10:25am
Not likely my friend, takes a lot of time and effort. --AND, I am not implying anything . Go ahead , ask(the company)  for a  (revenue per EACH  outlet  report)  ,  that way we can all get a lot of valuable info to see profitability , and  formulate our decisions on taking a position.--I don't just baghold down from $8 based on some investment house . . Well you seem to keep repeating the story that everyones driving 40 miles all day every day to replace a 10 dollar part and its just the way it is. I say BS. If thats not mindless bashing I dont know what is and you provide absolutley no proof of these claims.  We would of been mammaries up 4 years ago if thats how they run the company.
Comment by ramman1 on Jan 17, 2024 10:50am
I've never said  the driving /rural area status  is (throughout the company),obviously not . I  HAVE SAID, in some older rural areas, the company cannot be making money ,and it weighs down the entire company, PLAIN and Simple fact.--------  I have said  company rationalization, is required ,IMHO  .  Become less rural . ----  Stay invested Westcoast ,or ...more

Cagr = compound average growth rate.   $6 x 1.414 x 1.414 = $12.    Your TD no.s are the average analyst target price 1 year out. The cowards don't give targets beyond that.

Thanks for explaning that to me. I believe there are other methods to arrive at a fair buyout price such as a formula based on ebita. I'm not so interested if the company is going to be bought out but more interested in what is a fair market value. I realize these questions will attract negitive posters to chime in but I get a few decent responses such as yours that are very helpful so thanks ...more
