M Partners is getting ready to issue more securities.  You need to read the note 6 that they are compensated for investment banking services.   The debentures tell you everything you need to know.  A new all time low at 94.74 today. Sometimes you see a flurry of news releases to try and stoke demand to sell stock or debentures. Perhaps getting ready to finance a dilutive ...more

VG, I'm confused by your post. Which note 6 are you talking about? In what document? I'm fine to keep an open mind to the possibility that you might be right. But I seem to need help to see how you got to this conclusion (or even hypothesis).
Comment by v_guerriero on Jul 26, 2022 1:15pm
In the M partners analyst report.  They have to disclose their conflicts.   Note 6 says: "6. M Partners provided investment banking services for the company during the 12 months preceding the publication of the research" This means:  don't believe anything we write because our job is to sell securities, not to give you accurate research.

What a schmuck!  So you quote Canaccord as gospel and they have the same disclaimner.  Again, what a schmuck.
Comment by monte8 on Jul 26, 2022 3:34pm
That's "Canacrap", Thank you!
Comment by v_guerriero on Jul 26, 2022 3:39pm
The M Partners one is very typical.  Don't bite the hand that feeds you. Cannacord moving to a hold and cutting the target to $2.50.  They bit the hand that feeds them.  That is very rare and says a lot.
Comment by cabbieJBJ on Jul 26, 2022 3:50pm
USA-based growth and RJ/CIBC have relegated Canaccord to the sidelines, Canaccord got a pittance share of the debenture deal.  Additionally, when the Quarterhill action moves south, Canaccord is not significant enough player there.  RJ and CIBC are. You are still a schmuck.  Note 6 is boilerplate and suggests nothing that you were touting.
Comment by v_guerriero on Jul 26, 2022 4:18pm
Here is a fact.  If you listened to me and sold at 2.60, you would have more money in your pocket.  The same is true of listening to the Cannacord report.   Remember:  Every day above $2.00 is a gift.  The Watchmaker thought so, too.

A shining example of hindsight-based "analysis." Shopify fell today, Tuesday. Why didn't you sell it on Monday? I told you to sell Shopify. I never believed in it. I knew all along there was something wrong with it.

V-G Your days of predicting a downward drop to $ 1.10 are over.  your posts are now meaningless. a bit of advice.   Take advantage of $2.10 in your short  POSITION and buyback all you can before you loose all of your profits when you started selling  at $2.60. Your shorts are about to get soiled and turning red. V-G YOU WILL HAVE MONEY IN YOUR POCKET. LAST CHANCE ...more

NEWS FLASH ASTUTEIN... weegee's posts have been meaningless for some time.  He fell off the edge of the world when he called $15 for QTRH in Q4-21. Now he's just a schmuck.
Comment by v_guerriero on Jul 27, 2022 11:52am
Cabbie, You've had to resort to name calling and smearing as the only rationale left.   You may not like what I say.  But it is grounded in fact.   The facts are: - Quarterhill paid a 140% premium or $100M more that align capital did the year before for ETC.   - The auditors highlighted a key issue is the goodwill on the books for the ETC acquisition.   ...more
Comment by cabbieJBJ on Jul 27, 2022 1:13pm
Virtually nothing you say weegee is grounded in fact - mostly your self inflated opinion.  However, your mis-use of note 6 in the M Partners upgrade to infer something negative is happening (i.e. a dilutive equity raise) was particularily egregious and earned you the adjective schmuck.
Comment by Buyreallow on Jul 27, 2022 2:46pm
Schmuck is a noun, not an adjective.
Comment by cabbieJBJ on Jul 27, 2022 3:18pm
You are correct buyreallow. Schmuck is a noun. Thx for the correction. Schmuck is a wonderfully descriptive noun.
Comment by Buyreallow on Jul 27, 2022 4:09pm
In "big schmuck", big would be an adjective.  Same for "little" schmuck.  Which is it?
Comment by cabbieJBJ on Jul 27, 2022 4:27pm
I'm not looking for an adjective any more buyreallow.  I should have said noun.  Schmuck is perfectly perfectly fine by itself.  Obviously I have failed English Grammar 101; however, I believe I deserve an A+ in creative writing.  Schmuck is the desired and appropriate depiction. Schmuck is a kind of absolute word.  Free to add an adjective if you wish.

What do you call the people that added another 137k shares short in the last two weeks?  Representing 25% of the trades. Why are the debentures trading at all time lows?
Comment by astutein on Jul 28, 2022 4:17pm
v-g   last chance tomorrow to cover your short position at $ 2.17.  Another day or two & you could  could be wiped  out of all your profits.  Shortssqueeze coming any day.

Relax checkup.  It's early in the trading day.  Volume is up and yesterday's gains have held.  Weegee is still calculating the gain/loss on the 137M shares shorted in the past 2 weeks that he referenced in his Post# 34855757.
Comment by cabbieJBJ on Jul 29, 2022 10:38am
Thanks Astutein.   Facinating, isn't it, that weegee hasn't posted to brag how successful the 137M share short has been.
Comment by redcoats on Jul 28, 2022 3:21pm
If he'd used "schmuck off", what would that have been?
Comment by cabbieJBJ on Jul 28, 2022 4:04pm
Nice day today redcoats. It would be a verb, but that's improper use.  Let's just leave it at schmuck since it fits.
