ETC press release

" Where's the beef ? "
Comment by cabbieJBJ on Apr 05, 2023 8:24am
Maxx, the beef is in the last paragraph.  The rest was written for the bureaucrats.  Some think access could be a very big opportunity.

As "some think" me wait for the facts sheet and $$$ earnings.............. You are a great resource and information ON BOTH FORUMS and we can't thank you enough and since you are a BIG share holder you also talk with co. all the time YET you were  just as wrong as the rest of us when it came to gauging progress/$$.......... So really there is no point in guessing and hoping and ...more

Socrates, yes, I was wrong on the progress and I definitely voiced my strong displeasure to management.  And, I listened to the corrections and the path ahead; that's why I have not bailed.   On the "some think" I agree that it's premature to jump on any bandwagon.  It is a "build it and they will come" intiative.  All I want to point out is ...more

Yes, you are 100% correct! It is just I have been seeing the path forward develop and can feel how it could be big,,,,,,,,,,,just afraid inexperienced fools I mean mngmnt can't handle the task! Why wasn't there strick project managment that would have showed up at the estimating phase that $$ WILL BE SHORT in the execution! The last time Kid talked he sounded upbeat and plain lied to us ...more

Socrates, I suspect that the off-side contract(s) were early ones -  probably pre acquisition.  There were two substantial awards in Colorado (May and August 2020), which I thought were (nearly) through the implementation phase.  Apparently not, so that is what leads me to believe that they are the problem.  I also suspect that there were cost (materials labor) issues, but ...more

There could be be significant differences in the details when sign contracts with the  states that have no toll interoperability established. There are about 10 states that have no toll interoperability established, Colorado is one as i see. https://etcc.com/resources/videos/

I realize Colorado isn't part of an I/O Hub.  However, I'd be very surprised wanttoknowwhy if Colorado's Toll System, which is one of the contracts with ETC, did not anticipate this feature and make it easy to sync with the CUSIOP (which ETC developed).
Comment by wanttoknowwhy on Apr 05, 2023 5:20pm
Cabbie as  I understand, Colorado's toll systems are not interoperable with each other ( no interoperability established as indicated in the videos, https://etcc.com/resources/videos/), unlike the staes with E-Zpass interoperabilty that all the toll systems interoperable each other. ETC's projects enable E-Zpass intreroperable with other hubs like CUSIOP, IAG and SEIOP etc. ...more

If what I said is correct, then the Colorado contracts that did not address these differences (if) could have some problems like the project cost overrun.. Look like Colorado is the first state with no toll interoperability established to sign contracts  with ETC.

Wanttoknowwhy, I don't know why this is such a big deal, but I've asked QTRH and will let the board know. The important situation to focus on is that when the E-ZPass hub (IAG) is complete later this year that the I/O Hubs will be defacto national, accomodating all states east of the Rockies that have tolling programs.  If Colorado wishes to be part of that initiative, I'm pretty ...more

Wanttoknowwhy, I am told that both Colorado projects will integrate with the CUSIOP hub.
