Thanks Tcad.  Do you see a short squeeze on the horizon?  I will kneel beside my bed each night until Q3 results (est. Novemebr 8th) and pray for one! 1

Does Rusty or the board look at these short numbers? We do so Most likely yes.......... Whith that said this is not their first rodeo, so do as you must. The beuty of getting EXPERIENCED CEO and advisors alike on the board...........Make them scramble with some great suprise, me hope.......... Obviously they counting on more losses at q3 to have 2.5 mill short position................ And Any ...more

Much of the short position will be hedging of the debentures. I wouldn't concern yourself with it at all.
Comment by Socrates1 on Oct 23, 2023 11:21am
Is that your personal opinion or can you point to the source?
Comment by mrmoribund on Oct 23, 2023 11:50am
No precise data but I recall when the debentures were issued. I think there was a surge of shorts which was obviously hedging. And that's what "hedge" funds do--among other investors. I'd imagine much of the shorting is the same stuff still there.

Thanks Mr. M. Good info.........

I'd say that's a fair assessment. The debs were issued Oct 2021, mature October 2026. Convertible, way out of the money at $3.80 per share. So basically, for a hedgy it's a high yield bond with a high risk of default due to it being small cap cdn tech company. So if the bond has 3 years and trades at 85, with a 6% coupon, I'm rounding in my head to get a 13% yield to maturity. Not ...more

Thank you Maxmoe, come by more often your knowledge is far beyond the norm! Maybe you bought in since you did visit the board?
Comment by cabbieJBJ on Oct 25, 2023 12:34pm
Thanks Maxmoe.  I hadn't factored that in...definitely a consideration, as the share price could explode if the company delivers strong profits over the next 12 months.  To remind the board, the take up on the debentures was $57.5M at a $3.80 conversion price, representing 15.13M possible shares on conversion.  The debentures pay 6% interest, payable semi ...more

Doesn't really matter but there is no premium paid for the redemption. They can redeem at par. $100 per debenture. The bond last traded at 85. It's trading as if it was not convertible, ie at its straight debt value. Like a first year finance course chart the bond, in theory, will trade like a bond until the underlying stock approaches the conversion price. They could redeem it a year ...more

The conversion terms. Each Debenture will be convertible into Common Shares at the option of the holder at any time prior to the close of business on the earlier of the last business day immediately preceding the Maturity Date and, if called for redemption, the last business day immediately preceding the date fixed by the Company for redemption of the Debentures, at a conversion price of $3.80 ...more

Aside from the Wilan overhang, operational and financial performance is more the reason the stock price is where it is. Maxmoe. If those metrics improve as has been indicated through company comments on the results calls, the price will increase regardless of the debentures, imo. There was marked improvement in Q2, achieving positive EBITDA. Further sequential improvement in Q3 will provide an ...more

Correct if companies business plan goes well and the company makes good profit net earnings per share this debenatures I assume would be irrelevant like cabbie said long term investors I. This company are not trading or shorting their they are in here for long term the new ceo I am sure wants to prove he can make this company really profitable forget about it'll the wi-own past I am hopping ...more

I agree or I wouldn't have bought it. I didn't buy it for the last year because of the operating results and confused/confusing business plan AND the convertible. I expect the stock will continue to face headwinds despite the reasonable operating results and improving if not spectacular outlook until the trend looks established. I may have bought too early, maybe a year too early, but my ...more

Yes, that is what happens when complacent not qualified board try to enter ITS space....Premature ejecu........ lol With that said now at least much stronger focus from qualified board and CEO......
Comment by Tsmith on Oct 23, 2023 1:22pm
The board and ceo I doubt look at the shorts they are to busy trying to focus on the business to improve margins in the long run that is the least of their concerns
