When things getter better...

The company would be wise to reinstate the dividend  then gradually increase it. That would be a buy signal to some and a catalyst to the share price.

Dividend? Are you kidding? In case you haven't noticed, the new leadership have for some time been trying to get across the message that this is a new kind of company--exactly the kind of company that, among other things, people should expect would NOT pay a dividend. A small tech story trying to build growth and profitability based on a high rate of reinvestment. Last on the list for paying ...more

I'll chime in with no small cap stock should EVER pay a divy. Unless they are a very small version of a typical yield stock, like a tiny utility stock. Doesn't exist. Free cash flow is either invested in growth or to buy back stock. Quarter won't ever grow to a Half paying dividends.

Congratulations! I confess I never heard of them. But I'll fix that. Pm me with the "good stuff". Was this once an income trust way back in the day? What happened to them in 2014?  It does look like it's worth a look. I really doubt the 7 cent dividend has anything to do with the 9 fold increase in the stock and I'd bet if the divy was zero and they bought back stock ...more

Max Moe an increase by 40 times is fantastic! I can only dream of a return like that. BDI was beaten down to ridiculously low levels like many other stocks during the early days of covid and I loaded up at around $1.00. It is categorized like an industrial stock and I don't think it was ever income trust. In 2014 the share price peaked at $34.00. Despite it being a growth stock I don't ...more
