Cormark raises target from $1.35 to $1.75. Not much of an upgrade when they pick a new target price that is well below the current share price. More like chasing after the stock. That said, Cormark with their perennial negative take on Quarterhill has a record of being more right than anyone else. And they're clearly still not convinced. I like the story. But I can see where it will be a ...more

CORMACK who? Brokers will approach companies for bough deals to line their pockets, who knows what is going on between brokers and the company? Hurt feelings or who cares. This week and next should be a good gauge on how well the Roth Conference went. Drifting down back to the 1.70 ish or leaving 2 bucks behind will comfirm it eather way........... Mrmoribund, have you taken a look at the mutiple applied by the various analysts.  Historically, Cormark has been on the low side, 9x, I believe.  CIBC and RJ have been in the 11x - 12x range.  I think you'll find that the 2025 top line and EBITDA numbers are fairly similar for all three.

CIBC/ anonymous working the price down. Would be nice to get rid of the CIBC crooks. They have always worked the price down before news to prevent new highs!

Cabbie you and I are not always in different worlds but we are here. You're in quantitative land and I'm in qualitative land. For sure what the 2025 numbers are going to look like is important - and that's always going to be the stock in trade of the analysts. That's what they do. Their job. No analyst is going to say "Quarterhill is worth more because Chuck knows what he ...more

I was only commenting, mrmoribund, on you geneflecting at the Cormark altar.  To pick up on your metaphor, I like land of all types.  I am here, in the main, for the qualitiative reasons (been there/done it, skin in the game, the opportunity to leverage data, sector growth, tech vs./++ infrastructure company, EU expansion, one company vs. silos, etc., etc.)...supported by improving ...more
