RMP has exceptional quality assets. These are valuable, period! Whether RMP keeps them or sells, regardless, there is deep value in this stock at this price. There is a lot of needless noise here. GLTA.

No one wants assets? WTF are you smoking? I count 55 deals announced YTD worth an estimated $13 billion in Canada alone. Real investors dont wait for oil to come back, they buy assets on the cheap then wait for the inevitable recovery. You should probably go back to chasing down pokemons and leave the investing to the experts. Your 70 cent target is just as rediculuos as your firsrt statement. If ...more

Dear RTPsinyouface: You and I agree. Absolutely! There is deep, deep value here. And the thought that nobody wants those assets is not realistic. Value buying is precisely buying when others have the view that its worth nothing. RMP is worth much more than the current price. Oil being low or not! Good luck to us!

RMP is different, they are in a position where they absolutely have to sell assets or the company. Not only that, they have to do it quickly. It's not like they are just riding out the storm waiting for a saviour to come by and bid high for an asset. This storm is here and they are drowning. They have to liquidate assets. It will be a bargain for which ever company comes in with the low ball ...more

We do not agree. Suggesting that PWT did not have to sell is wrong. They too, were drowning. There is another side to your argument. Low ball offers may well happen. But business is business, and with any M & A, serious buyers, seeing quality cheap assets, will try and pay a price that they actually GET the asset. RMP is in a position to negotiate. I guess that is where we disagree. In this debt-laden world, intrinsic value assets are what matters. Oil has taken a price beating, to be sure, but oil is intrinsic. As for the low .70's price, that is a guess. My guess is that RMP follow a similar pattern to PennWest. PennWest was in a very similar place as RMP is now. They sold some of their jewels, and the stock nearly doubled in 2 days ...more
