August is almost over. This is the month of executing Confidentiality Agreements, access to the confidential information, followed by technical presentations by RMP management and determining dates for submission of proposals.
August is also a vacation month and many senior managers won't be back in the office until after the Labor Day weekend. I think, most proposals will be received in the second half of September or early October, but not a lot later because of the deadline. The deadline may be extended by the bankers but I wish it will stay and there will be a certain transaction not later than October 31.
The average cost of individual investors is irrelevant except for lessons learned. One way or another, RMP paper should turn into cash, hopefully with a decent premium above today's market price and hopefully not later than in 2 months. Investors, who wish, will then be able to reinvest the proceeds during the tax selling months of November and December.
