Seems   the  company  had  the cash to pay the interest  but  the secured  credits  ( mortgage holders moved  to block that)   likely  fed  up  with the slow  liquidation  process  and  not  wanting  money to go  to  subordinated  debt  holders  .  Once  the  bonds  go  in  default   they  should trade  flat  ie  without  interest  .    TSX   normally   issues   a  bulliten    re   that.

That's my take.  The lenders are putting the screws to them.  Armoyan could be sitting back letting it happen because it has to happen. Perhaps he has some plan or buyout proposal in bankruptcy as a chemotherapy solution that gets rid of the cancerous tumors; the usury asset management agreement and the Welch brother parasites.  Bankruptcy or something close to that might be
