Ultium batteries to be produced in Ohio are an NMCA formulation with almost 90% Ni and 5% Co. This 35 gigawatt factory in Tennessee will use a more cost effective chemistry which I presume to mean even less cobalt as LFP is out of the question for a premium brand like Cadillac. That looks to be about 32k tonnes of Ni per a year in demand just from this one plant.
