Market cap too smal
The minimum market cap to be in the index is $250,000,000. S has market cap of around $218.9 million, so does not make the grade. Guess JRV didn't make it as they are considered an Australian company even though listed on TSX-V s well as ASX.

I can only give you the words from the methodology document. See appendix V of the attached link. https://www.spglobal.com/spdji/en/documents/methodologies/methodology-sp-tsx-canadian-indices.pdf Guess you will have to ask the TSX why. The global mining review of the 40 constituents shows an adjusted market cap of 669 million for Alexco Resourse, the smallest constituent.

As pointed out by someone already, this tsx battery thingy is an index not a fund. No doubt somebody will launch a fund based on the index. But more like a small fund from day harvest funds than a big blackrock fund, Ishares, bank fund.
