Vale will create seperate base metals unit and looks to sell 10% of it to fund class 1 Ni refinerery in quebec.... Announced at investors day in New York today:

PS also interesting to learn that their iron unit is subsidizing their money losing nickel unit. As a standalone unit they will no longer be able to subsidize it... which is good news for fair competition and good news for us.
