It doesn't work that way. Is it 120 Kt of MHP or 120 Kt of nickel equivalent. Big difference, like 5x difference in volume. Clean nickel sulfate (1 Ni:5 H2O) vs MHP that is not quite Class 1 but the cost for CAM plants to remove the impurities and transform to Sulfate is apparently economic. Gives a pretty good idea what Sherritt could be worth.   Interestign to compare to their Moa expansion plan : 77 millions USD for 6500 MT.  This is about 5% equivalent of production of this HPAL plant, 5% of which will cost 225 millions USD.

How is this possible when they are using coal: "Ford can help ensure that the nickel that we use in electric vehicle batteries is mined, produced within the same ESG standards as part of our business around the world," Christopher Smith, Ford's chief government affairs officer, said at the signing ceremony.
