Not that we trust any info coming out of China or anything but that same article says their overall unemployment is what 5.6% or something like that?? That's really nothing to write home about at this point in time. China's growth the last 20 years has been at a break neck speed. So them slowing down is probably a good thing for the globe as a whole.. and let's other up and coming ...more

Albatross you may have misread the unemployment part...unemployment of youth is 1 in 5.  Effect - old people don't spend money, young people do...if they're working that is. Excerpt: The country's (China) youth unemployment hit a new record high of 21.3% in the second quarter. This means more than one in five of those between 16 to 24 years old are unemployed.
