This is 2 yrs old - seems to have hit it on the nose.  Surplus now extended out to 2027-29 or so however.

Keep in mind that 2 years ago interest rates were zero. Economy "was" booming and EV subsidies were being handed out like candy. Now rates have risen exponentially,  economies are slowing, incentives have dried up and the novelty of electric cars is starting to have people think twice. Add inflation to everything and ask is there an electricity grid that can manage the capacity ...more
