BE WARY OF WOLVES IN SHEEPS CLOTHING

Caveat emptor...is it too good to be true? What's the reality look like? What doesn't add up? Why does the expected result not reflect to story? Who said "I am not a crook" ....Nixon.

FYI - Pump-and-dump is a manipulative scheme that attempts to boost the price of a stock or security through fake recommendations. These recommendations are based on false, misleading, or greatly exaggerated statements. The perpetrators of a pump-and-dump scheme already have an established position in the company's stock and will sell their positions after the hype has led to a higher share price.

This practice is illegal based on securities law and can lead to heavy fines. The advent of social media etc. has led to greater opportunities to conduct these types of crimes.

Pump-and-dump schemes usually target micro- and small-cap stocks.

False or misleading information about a company’s stock price may be spread through sources including platforms like social media, investment research websites, investment newsletters, online advertisements, email, Internet chat rooms, direct mail, newspapers, magazines, and radio. Micro and Small-cap stocks are particularly vulnerable to pump-and-dump schemes.

Is Sherritt a target of pumpers and dumpers? Let us know on this board please.

If you feel that you have been provided information about a stock that may have been false or misleading and/or may not be true, in order to increase the stock's value, you can consult the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) in Canada or the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in USA for more information and assistance.  Always be wary of others intentions.  Caveat emptor.

The feeble and frankly, loopy commentary coming from our special needs poster couldn't entice anyone other than someone with equally poor reasoning skills I'd submit.  That would weigh on any thoughts an OCS analyst might have about what they are seeing here.  Blathering on about polar bears and the inability to use the English language alone would put off anybody ...... oh ...more

Well said sanguinity, and the point is well taken. The Tiger was punished for arguing about the colour of the grass with the donkey, as he should be. Tiger will certainly have learned his lesson.

I was enticed.. I'm now so deep in debt and struggling to feed my family thanks to advice I got on this board. I may have to harvest one of my kidneys and beyond that I just don't know. Each month I buy Sherritt and lost my job because I couldn't sleep with all the red. No food on table, only tears. My children are suffering because I took special needs advice. I'm not sure what to ...more

I feel your pain. I can only assume you bought in before the reality about Sherritt came to life on this board about 6 months ago.  Caveat emptor, all that glitters is not gold! I hope we can all get back in the black! GLTA

Young or inexperienced investors have the disadvantage unfortunately.  That's why it's important to knock down any ridiculous assertions and prop up reality so people can at least make educated decisions and not listen to the promotion. The pumpers pumping of any stock has but one objective, get others in so they can get out at a higher price.  Afterwards when it all comes ...more
