OUCH WILL EVs BE A BLIP IN HISTORY?

EVs have been quite the story last couple of years. But now that they've been out a while some hard reality-based opinions are changing. Again won't impact Sherritt either way as they can't participate in the US market.

Thanks CommonCents. JMHO but I don't believe that the USA embargo/standoff with Cuba impacts Sherritt as significantly as some fear. Sherritt is a price taker (they don't set or significantly impact the market price), and doesn't produce enough volume to significantly impact the overall global Ni or Cobalt supply. They sell what they produce, and sell it at the established market ...more

Great commentary, I appreciate it.  The embargo does impact Cuba and their people in many ways perhaps not so obvious to all.  That's why they suffer economically.  The USA's noose around the island chokes their people to force regime change. That's why analysts don't give Sherritt any coverage either.  I belive the term used to describe Sherritt and Cuba was ...more

I agree it does not affect their sales in a significant way.  BUT it affects their costs / transport / logistics SIGNIFICANTLY.  Recall the mine history was mixed sulphide shipped a short hop to Louisina where the refinery used cheap natural gas and other inputs.... Now it has to travel half way around the workd by ship and train to fort sask.  Not to mention being unable to source ...more

BINGO...you guys are starting to pick up what I am laying down. The drop in Nickel prices and increased supply definitely hurts the bottom line for Sherritt.  No two ways about it, if the embargo was lifted today, Sherritt would garner a whole lot more attention from the investment world and the stock would be above $1.00.
