At least SC2 is offering a premium, unlike those lowball offers you often see by sleazy TRC.

autofocus...time to refocus.  Your question should be why would SC2 offer to buy sherritt shares at $0.37 when they could accumulate them at $0.29?  Smells fishy to me. What do you guys think?

I'd guess because there are not 21M shares for sale at 0.29? Maybe alot of the traded volume is just between brokers and/or small retail tradiers playing their little trading games - short here, buy back there - while larger long-term investors are quite willing to just hold onto their shares and wait out the downturn?

Maybe they have been buying up some and that's why the stock has been relatively flat recently.. is it possible to know how many shares they own at present? Would they have to disclose that before buying the 21M? I guess the portion they are buying is less than 5% of the available stock so it's not necessarily going to put them over that 10% at which point they would be required to ...more
