Going to toss this out to the internet hive mind. Looking at April Petrinex data, SDE is killing it on production, especially in oil. Digging into it by township I found that 1200 cubic meters (roughly...300 b/d if it been online for most of the month) came from a single new well. Is that even possible on that acreage? Most of the oil increase is coming from townships 68 and 69, which is to be expected and very gratifying to see. SDE's success in the field was the one question we couldn't answer with a spreadsheet: but to see them putting up these production numbers is so validating.

edit to add: right click / open image in new tab to get the full size version and actually read the numbers. Think this is a surprisingly positive update but curious on that Brazeau number. I know Westbrick is gearing up for an IPO and I think the clock is ticking on Pipestone's private equity holders and my gut is telling me that...something happens in one of those directions with SDE. Interesting data. I believe that the company and industry insiders are way ahead of retail investors to know if there is any extraordinary production data, so not basing my decisions on anything else other than the information provided in quarterly reports, presentations and press releases. As far as Pipestone, their major shareholders are holding convertible preferred shares which should be ...more
