It was interesting to follow the trade sentiment this week, day by day. We had the biggest volume on TSX since the week of August 23rd and most of it was done during the first two days at the 70 cents level. Buyers only had to place a bid at 70 cents, be a little patient, and it was filled. On Wednesday, the volume decreased drastically and the patience game switched from buyers to sellers. Buyers needed to rise their bid to get some shares, bringing it to 75 cents on the close on low volume.
This "trade sentiment" switch happened while the bullion lost $80 compared to last week. It's also positive to see that ANX held pretty well at the end of the week as the market registered big losses caused by the Covid new variant incertitude. However, the markets was closed in the USA 1.5 day for Thanksgiving at the end of the week so we do not know if this would have helped in creating a Power Friday or bringing more shares on the sell side. I guess we will find out on Monday after the turkey has been digested entirely.
If we refer back to the weeks preceding the publishing of the PEA in the week of June 21st, volume and SP started to increase 4 to 5 weeks before the report was published. According to Kevin, the FS will be published in 3 weeks and we have not seen the same action yet over the SP which is about the same level, the seventies, than it was before the publishing of the PEA. But the volume started to increase this week. Tax loss selling might have postponed the momentum a bit but I think that the spring is about to release the tension and we might have 2 nice weeks ahead of us.
