Moose, I will break my decision not to respond to your posts just to tell you that "Stog'er Tight" is not "that valuable" at current gold price and mine life. It's a good decision IMO not to risk like they did for Argyle.

It will also have serious negative consequences for the Baie Verte Peninsula region as they already lost a lot of people as a result of the cod moratorium as asbestos mine closure. Goldboro is not a sure guarantee either as the Nova Scotia Government are known for imposing too much red tape, and if their courts stop it, Signal Gold is screwed.

Why not spinoff the mine into a new company and merge with MAE. Both parties win and we could get some revenue for Goldboro. There must be some workaround (out of the box thinking) that they could come up with. What if there was a quick doubling of the gold price---would this not change the picture?

Yep, that is a possibility. Also, the mill and properties could be sold for a royalty. Discussions will happen regarding Baie Verte future for sure.
