That is much different.  People who pine for the so called good old days show that they are stuck in the past and are unable to see future possibilities.  Nothing to do with learning from the past.

I am simply comparing one CEO with another. I am not "stuck" anywhere. Commenting on the performance of management past or present seems to me like the kind of thing you would do on a bulletin board
