Weekly Stats

The bullion hold it's gain from last week, knocking at the door of $2000 (which was touched during the week) with a slight increase of 0.05%, while the miners got a fair move up 3.2% for the GDX and 3.5% for the GDXJ. SGNL got a flat and boring week on the trade side. We got news though: the company announced "further growth exploration drilling to the west of the Goldboro Deposit". But no budget and no parameter has been disclosed about the drilling plan. It's a bit mysterious.

I heard that things in Newfoundland are moving. So perhaps the money will come from the sell? Pure speculation on my side but I'm trying to fill the hole here. Perhaps we will get more info soon.

Those posts are a bit confusing to me. Though the price didn't change in a week fom last weeks close to this weeks close... and the GDXJ was way up for the week. What does it mean when the VWAP went from 0.32 to 0.312 DoumdiDoum?  Or minus 2.5%? The volume weighted average price. So the price was .31 a week ago.  Closed at .31 this week.  So no change. Shiftyone: What does it mean when the VWAP went from 0.32 to 0.312 DoumdiDoum?  Or minus 2.5%? The volume weighted average price. So the price was .31 a week ago.  Closed at .31 this week.  So no change. Overall, how did the average selling price do from this week to last? It means that there were more shares sold near 31 cents than 32 cents. It shows the trend. VWAP ...more

DoumDiDoum, please don't waste your time and energy in responding to our resident basher. You can see by the way he formulated his question that he knows full well what the VWAP is all about. All he wanted to do was to bring attention to the most negative part of the weekly stats, and I'm afraid you helped him do it.

I actually think that the most negative part of the weekly stats was the lack of volume, despite a news release and new corporate presentation. DoumdiDoum, after reading your reply....I agree that the VWAP is more important than the closing price. And now I say goodbye... until someone bashes me or I buy  :)
