Thoughts

Based on how the stocks performed over the last 5 months, there is a pattern beginning to merge. Based on this info sgy has been flat for a full month jumped and repeated. If this is anything to go by we should see a Jump next week. Or the unfortunate happens and we see a mayor price/ share drop since it's been flat for so long because there has been a major decrease in avg stock purchases /day. Showing investors are losing steam.

positive - there is no obvious bull flag forming (was my concern) but instead we got a flat stock.

It is the market that is flat, not just SGY.  Everyone is holding their breath waiting to see just how poorly Trudeau and Freeland will do on the 19th.  No one is expecting anything positive.  I doubt that there will be anything worse than more of the same for the energy sector; but personal wealth and the investment climate generally are nervous and uncertain.

Lol, I love technical analysis! Based on some "pattern" We should see a jump next week. Uumm... or a major drop. Now add your option 3 "we got a flat stock" and I guarantee you one of your 3 predictions will prove uncannily accurate. Like you're psychic !  Forget the other two.

Jumpin101, I for one respect your take on the future price of this stock. If you look back over the last two years of trading, do you think that there has been any price manipulation towards the downside?  For example, Eric Nutall has been a thorn in the side of Surge for years and I firmly believe that his twitter post last fall about Surge's SISP (sale and investor solicitation process) ...more

Jumpin et al... I appreciate the technical insight as well, but I have had similar thoughts to Maxmoe about the practice.  It seems like they try to cover all angles, and when it seems to be wrong, they go back to the fact that it's not always a guarantee, which is obvious. In addition and more importantly, technical analysis, as I understand it, is based on trying to predict large crowd ...more

In my view technical trading patterns will only mimic the financial fortunes of the company over the long haul.  I will however accept that "technical anaysis" may anticipate or harbinger improving company finances.  In SGYs case SP has been flogged by a major purchase the market didn't like a few years ago, about third of a billion in debt resulting, then piled onto by the ...more

Sorry if I hurt your feelings Cinderella but just pick one. Just one . And I won't make fun of the Captain obvious 3 handed predictions. Every stock has 3 possible outcomes. Up,down, flat.  Fair game and your guess is as good as mine so ....pick ONE. Example. I own it so I obviously think it will "see a jump". Who cares if I focus on numbers and you focus on charts.
