I agree, after they accelerate debt repayment and start a dividend the share price will be to high to make buybacks a good idea! Only 81mil shares anyway

Yes agree. A share buyback does not make sense for SGY. Especially since we already had the big share consolidation. A consolidation, combined with an increased share price through performance - earnings, and potential dividends do the same thing as a share buyback.  ...and I guess we are still a $0.57 stock in terms of pre consolidation price. Once we get a double or triple from here, some ...more

Their interest rates are too high. Paying off debt is far better than paying dividends since it puts compound money back in our pockets. From there, refinance any remaining debt at low interest rates. Then they have the freedom for share buybacks / dividends.

Got to agree with this....pay down debt...then start buy backs...share price need to get up before any return of capital...other companies are at 5 year highs and $SGY stuck at price below Covid.

is it correct   that they must inform us ahead of share buybacks   even if they say   buy a 1000 every Fri morning
