Albino Waste Dump

New article by Taylor Dart on SeekingAlpha today. He opines 400,000 oz  here.

I have no idea if that is a low, high or reasonable estimate. Others might have an educated guess.

Assume he is correct

Have not read the article however Taylor is pretty reliable. Problem right now is only a small portion of the waste dump has been tested. In addition to that Ag (SILVER) CAN Also be disolved into the waste water but not AU so there is more potential in size and reclaimation of precious metals content. I would not put any numbers on it just yet. Nevertheless 400K is nothing to sneeze at!

Ounces in Albino - Skeena believes there's the potential for Albino to be as big as Snip, and far more economical with only a mining cost of C$3.50 per/tonne, (Snip currently hold 650,000 ounces). I'll put my money on the Skeena Team with their estimates on the potential size & economics of the Albino ore, and with both Snip & Albino complementing the primary ore feed from Eskay ...more

Had a read of Taylor Dart's article.  Lots of unknowns until drilling has updated the resource but I think they should rename this waste site and call it the " Pot O Gold".

Ridgeback, (1) Please post the link for Taylo Dart's article. Thanks. (2) 400,000 oz sounds reasonable (at $3.5/tonne to dig up compared to 180/tonne for SNIP). The profit would be more than enough to cover the CapEx for the entire Eskay project. There are some estimates, on ceo.ca, ranging from 400,000 oz to over 1Moz, ssuming  grade of 6gpt from the 8 holes. It sounds like SKE is fast ...more

The market is still weird. On the other side of the country there is companies without one core assay with over 20% of this value. The main owner comes out with a  bit of a notice  "  we found maybe another Billion or Two Worth of Gold  for basically free. At a grade that would make a high grade underground mine in Ontario " That should send the share price down ...more

Ridgeback, Thanks for the link. Just read The Seeking Alpha article by Taylor Dart. Here are some comments: (a) Taylor low-balled the SP for SKE, saying 2.20 US (or 2.66 Cad) as a low-risk buy opportunity. This is too low a price compared to the PP price of 3.10 Cad where our German rich friend scooped up the big load. Current price is 3.74 Cad. (b) In his Summary Taylor used a low value of 4 ...more

I like Taylor but he is very modest on his estmates. This in particular where AU disolved by Mercury and free AG is disolved in the pit is a bonus. This is not s a simple scoop and reap rewards albiet very promising to date. This to me looks like a high value simplified refining project with low cost sediments that have setteled for years and will provide high grade returns much improved over the ...more

I suspect there is very little settlement.  The waste rock is essentually sitting on a rocky lake bottom.  This is an enclosed alpine water body at high elevation with no inflow river bringing in sediment  and surrounding sparse conifer cover and barren rock.  These type of water bodies have very little settlement. Check out the diagram and picture of the lake posted on ...more
