> 40 soon?

Debs grind higher against the backdrop of constantly improving office sentiment

40+ sometime soon it would appear

Any positive news from the company & debs violently jerk to > 70

While the backdrop logic = such is most probable, the lack of news and uncertainty hold the share price back

Let us hope for that beautiful day

NF13 I think you nailed it.  Besides the simple fear factor, I think many investors don't really understand the relation between the debentures and the asset values.  The two views:   1.  Missed interest payments --> debentures are toast    2.  Missed interest payments --> market overreacts --> rare opportunity to buy real assets cheap    ...more

Tree2tree has unwittingly touched upon the issue with the debentures.  He may be rediscovering the wheel, but it needs refinement. The IFRS asset value on several of these properties is inflated.  The LTV is considerably higher than acknowledged.  The special resolution in January  TEMPORARILY removed a leverage restriction until December 2025.  They were maxed out. Rad,  You are always referring back to Royal Host and how well you did. So, how much did you make?  Let's hear it. And if you think the Slate units are toast and the debs are just barely treading water, why are you still here?  It doesn't make much sense why you would waste so much time on a so-called loser stock.

How much the debentures recover is anyone's guess.  I picked up a few, and I think it is safe to say they are trading based on the limited info available.  Recovery of full face value with accrued interest is an outside possibility (that would be rather nice for a multibagger).  Tempted to cash in to the FOMO crowd posting on here! Paid off the mortgage years ago with the ...more

Wow, you paid off your mortgage with the gains!   Nice.  I'm too heavily invested in the Slate debentures to just walk away.  I initially got in when they were trading much higher, so when prices sank, I averaged down.  Now I've got an insane amount of debentures.  Too embarrassed to say how much.  Interest rates can't fall fast enough.     ...more
