Dividend

Anyone concern regarding if they can maintain the dividend?
.72 cents don't look like that they are making enough to cover it.

And you know this how?  And why now?
Comment by Shylock40 on May 14, 2024 11:21am
Agreed, would not be at all shocked w/ a cut. We have already moved from monthly to quarterly dividends and results continue to disappoint. New CEO is looking under the hood of what prior poor management has done and will make required efficiency/savings plays for long term success. At this point, just hold what you have wait for brighter days!

Divvy is easily covered. Not even an issue at this point.

Decided to take an intial position this morning. Will add on weakness. This one will require a lot of patience but will collect the decent divvy while I wait.

Do I detect a toch of sarcasm? Hiw far are we from the tareget, the "analysts" profess>

bttmfischer...I avoid all analysts targets on any stock...do your own research as you have the same access to the information that they do. Not that I expect anyone to care but my analysis gets SPB to around 10.25 by year end...and add the divvy...that is a good return.
Comment by Freezerburn on Jun 11, 2024 7:48pm
Can your analysis tell us why it's $9.16?
Comment by bttmfischer on Jun 14, 2024 2:19pm
The analysts got it analysed - they give the targer of $12. to SBP.. Cam they tell which side is up? I doubt it.

Bought appox third position today. Before record date. Dividend may be paid from cash flow but can't stay negative earnings to long. Another warm winter will not be good but after an El nino , I think the next winter is a cold one

From RBC May 12, 2024 Superior Plus Corp Outperform TSX: SPB; CAD 9.53 Price Target CAD 15.00 Attractive yield supported by a conservative payout ratio. We believe the current dividend yield of ~7-8% is attractive and sustainable. We estimate that the payout ratio will be 40–50% in 2024–25 (based on ACFFO). Why do these half wits post the sky is falling? Dividends from these types of companies  ...more
