$8.86 was a great buy. Nobody thought we'd be all the way down to $8.00. Hopefully, not for long.

I think you are mistaken. Those are performance share unit which vested.  It's not like those officers/directors just went out and invested their own money in acquiring those shares.  They vested based on time or performance (hard to believe a performance metric was met).  At least not all of them exercised them for cash I guess. The only purchase by officers/directors was ...more

Furthermore, if you look at the last Notice of Meeting and Management Information Circular dated March 8, 2024, it is clearly evident that management and the directors are milking this company dry with performance units, compensation, termination benefits, etc.  There is no logic for such high management compensation given its performance.  That is partly what the analysts don't like ...more

Just like every other company. Management is there to make money to feed their families. I see no difference between their behaviour and any other C-Suite.
Comment by Apaulson on Jul 21, 2024 12:13pm
You missed the point. The company's return on capital doesn't justify this high level of compensation. What other c suite / company did you compare SPB to? i suspect none. You're just making unsupported comments. Ignore
Comment by newcoin on Jul 21, 2024 12:37pm
You have not had anything positive to say about SPB. Just complaints. Why are you here? Oh, I know why.
Comment by newcoin on Jul 21, 2024 12:42pm
What other c suite / company did YOU compare SPB to? None. You're just generalizing. You know nothing about how the internals at SPB work. Just a quick and easy shot taken so you can complain.
Comment by Apaulson on Jul 21, 2024 1:46pm
Haha, you made the company about other c suites and now you can back it up......,pretty sad and pathetic buddy.
Comment by Apaulson on Jul 21, 2024 1:47pm
Can't back it up I meant to write.

You said you were going to put me on Ignore? Please do so. I've checked out your negative posting history on Stockhouse and I no longer wish to converse with you.
Comment by Apaulson on Jul 21, 2024 2:32pm
You're right, I shouldn't respond to stupid comments which are not supported by facts or any type of qualitative or quantitative analysis.
