Rail Strike
How will rail strike effect SPB? I believe most of their product is shipped by rail.

Great question? I thought they had over 6000 delivery trucks? The bottle neck problem would happen at there loading hubs! But not sure how long there supplies last there? or if any are pipelines?? The news I seen on P.E.I. was a different propane company but supplies are good for 2-3 weeks. But would be a issue after that.

Superior has the largest delivery network, and can adjust to truck vs rail. The costs are passed on to customers. As it's "slow" season, they also have excess capacity to handle transportation changes.

The costs aren't passed on to the customer, at least in the short-term.....not without a surcharge and SPB won't due to that because it's a commodity and they don't want to lose customers to competitors. This will all hit the bottom line. Who are you trying to kid?

Also, there are buying groups who set their annual price before fall (I'min one). So, no, not passing on increases to customers with contracts.

Will your buying group be stocking up on your propane ASAP after this even though you are not at your refill level yet? More delivery charges is good for Superior.

Why would they? your comment doesn't make sense but good try. new 52 week low today. For some reason the market didn't agree with your analysis. Go figure....haha

Re: buyng group. Not sure whether the 24 - 25 price has already been set. I usually do try for a top up before the end of season if the price announced is going to be higher. Haven't heard yet but we've done well relative to the annualized market in recent years.

Superior would GAIN customers as they will be the only ones with a viable truck transportation network. Force majeure on any delivery contracts that involve rail.

It'll drop as least 3% today.
