Stock is in free fall and the company's $10 million dollar man has no answers.....

Could be leaked financials or the expectation of poor financials. Could also be houses pushing the price down only to draw out shares at discounted prices. Markets are irrational and unpredictable at best. The top traders generally stay away from stocks and instead focus on commodities, which are more predictable. We small time traders/investors can only guess how the shares will perform. SPB ...more

Amazing this can happen? Someone knows something? No insider wants to be caught using special information. SPB has just played things straight. Q3 out on Nov 6th. Maybe investors are spooked because dividend is so high? Over 10% something must be wrong? Until there is an answer I think it's a buying opportunity. I got some shares over the last couple days.

Steady decline would be tax loss selling. After all,not too many have made a profit on Superior this year. And maybe it'll stop at around $7. Of course the dividend is high when we sit this low.Could a cut be in the cards?..it's possible in my opinion as they used to pay monthly and now it's quarterly...and that could be viewed as a step in that direction But....having said that and it& ...more

I suspect they are planning to remove the "Plus" part in the name and that this has somehow leaked.

Talk about tax loss I am going to join the crowd and start selling  10 k at  the time, and eat the sustantial loss. Fortunately the rest of  my holdings are in the green  Thie worst decisin I ever made was to buy SPB, and believe the "experts, who claimed the MEAN 12 month TARGET WAS $12.30 OR S. I further added to  that bad decision when I did not follow my better ...more

I picked up some this morning below 7 which to me seems like a bargain. My average price is now 7.30...so yes underwater a little. I noticed yesterday two high rated analysts (if there is any such thing)...put out targets of 9.25 and 9.50. I plan to hold this one into 2025.
Comment by Specific on Oct 23, 2024 1:49pm
just added as well....at 6.91

What we are seeing is what I talked about in an earlier post and it all stems from their PR in July wherew they said that Cetaurus would be getting into a new business.. The message to the Street? We screwed up buying it and are going to do a risky course correction and so what we said earlier about buying was totally wrong. Bottom Line? The SP could still go a lot lower.
Comment by himmler on Oct 23, 2024 8:01am
Yes ,it's possible the shareprice could go lower. We will see when it hits $7. Makes me wonder though why  insiders bought the last while.
Comment by gassygeezer on Oct 23, 2024 8:55am
IMO this stock chart is typical of those that ultimately fail while being pumped by bank/funding analysts...i mentioned much earlier on this board to sell before tax loss seaqson, now we'll see how low it goes while management fiddles/ponders the company future during a falling knife buying atitude by investors...only corrus management performed worse w/similar Analyst optimism all the way ...more

Well ,we do have a difference of opinion on these BB's don't we?.It really matters nothing if you or I buy or sell this stock( or any other) for that matter and as such post what we did. After all these BBs contain nothing more than anonymous posters with zero credentials. What would you say if my money manager stated that the upcoming Financials will be fine?..and the only reason SPB is ...more

Long-term  support  5.5-6 CAD (was tested in 2011,2012 and 2020)  Put first stink bid around 6 - 6,5 CAD.  Only question here - when we will reach this price ( during tax-loss season  or when board with Brookfield will cut dividend in half)

income... 1...not sure where you are getting a suppport at 6-6.5 in 2020 2...as for the support levels you refer to for 2011 and 2012...ie over a decade ago -  personally I would not rely on this measure to make decisions regarding when to buy but up to you of course... From my experience over the years, the price has now fallen below any reliable support level and so technical analysis is ...more
