Melt-up continues

Another new 52-week high today, following the Globe and Mail piece yesterday. I wonder when the shorts will start to really capitulate. We'll know it by multiple up-gap days.

The rise in the price of STB stock is simply an example of investors chasing yield, an in many cases this sort of activity ends badly no matter what the security happens to be. Greed eventually gets us all in the end.

Perhaps STB should publish a simple explanation of their cash flows, like this: Student Transportation prides itself on having paid dividends regularly for more than 130 consecutive dividends. We have done this despite the global financial crisis of 2008, high oil prices and low oil prices. Well said and it seems that other investors are slowly recognizing the conservative and profitable business. One of the most important contributors to the success of STB is the CEO who has school buses in his blood and conveys his enthusiasm to the company and its customers.
