More Games?

The bid at $3.50 would punch out 10 levels of Asks (all I can see) without even breaking a sweat so perhaps the SP is being "walked down" this morning. GLTA

All seems to revolve around those big crosses by Cormark that have been going for a few months now (since the S2S deal). Since february, they have been behind 33M of volume (Net +1.4M) out of 70M total.

Interesting. I'm showing that they lowered their target from $5.75 to $5.35 on 21 May but that's still 55% above our current SP.  GLTA

Might be a rough ride for tech stocks over the next few months with the fed being hawkish. US 10 year is expected to hit 2%. Sangoma long term should be good though. Short term not so much. Probably back down to $2.80

Fed was dovish and you wait for $2.80, if it will get there. Waiting for $2.80 is stupid. If this stock has great potential and in many years will hit $20 or $30, does it really matter if you bought it at $2.80 or $3.20? NO

This is so true. I often have to explain this to people who try to time the markets. It just makes no sense. You are right, it doesn't make a difference whether or not you paid $2.80 or $3.20 in the long run.
Comment by masfortuna on Jun 18, 2021 9:07am
Well not sure if I agree completely. If you could buy a car for $1000 would you be ok paying $1100? The difference between the 2 numbers is about 13%. So you can have 13% more shares  if you believe that the sp will drop to that level.  Incidentally there is no guarantee this actually increases in value.  I am holding and have held since the beginning but I am getting a little tired ...more

In the long run the price you pay today hardly matters. Let's see what happens if you buy Sangoma at $2.80 versus $3.20 and assuming the share price reaches $20 in 5 years. You can choose any number you wish but I've arbitrarily chosen 5 years. Your compound annual rate over 5 years assuming you purchased at $2.80 and arrive at $20  is ~ 48.17%  Your compound annual ...more

I agree with you both. Long-term a 40 cent variance in entry point will be pretty negligible to rate of return. But also very frustrating that this company is not getting the valuation it deserves.

.40 cents is 15%'ish. Not sure about you, but try walking in a bank and asking for a 15% interest rate on your savings account. I think a 15% TOTAL return on your portfolio annually on your portfolio would be an excellent return.  Don't you? Mas

You missed the entire point. Why are you using a 1 year example, did you not read my 5 and 10 year scenario?  First of all the price may never drop to $2.80 so you could be missing out on an uptrend while waiting. A long term investor should not concern himself with timing the markets but perhaps if you're a short term trader then that's a different story. One should focus more on ...more

Ok thx but I think you missed my point.  The "lady" was conviced that this will drop to $2.80.  Nothing wrong with buying at $2.80 as opposed to $3.20. In fact you save 15%.  That's my point. Mas

I would have to agree with those who think Sangoma will hover around $3.00 until they can prove they can show they are very profitable in their financials which might not show a positive outl;ook for a few quarters. As good as the Star2Star aquisition might have seen at the time the market seems otherwise. Unfortunately most analysts are probably correct. Most think a market correction of 5-10% is ...more

Not good to fall in love with your stocks
Comment by masfortuna on Jun 21, 2021 12:01am
What if in 5 years it is still trading at $3??? LOL! I agree that it should eventually increases in value, but nothing is guaranteed.  Anyhow the point was that If I could buy something for cheaper, then why wouldn't I??? Or anybody else for that matter. Mas

I agree with fdfd. If you believe a small-cap / micro-cap company is of good quality, in a good sector and undervalued with great long-term potential and your belief is vindicated long term, what's better: Buying it at current prices? or Insisting on waiting for it to fall further and it never does, so you end up not buying any shares at all? Not saying it won't fall to 2.80 (or even ...more
