Crazies

I am not referring to social media, rather to political leaders who seem to have no concept of present difficulties as they try to lead their electorates into LaLa Land.

Record deficits, increased demand arriving ,commodity shortages, chip shortages, crumbling infrastructure. Time for a plan to address present problems in a cost effective manner.
Shutting down existing pipelines and pipeline projects is simply insanity. All the problems mentioned above cannot be solved without energy , and right now ,that energy is petroleum.
Or perhaps we should just extend the lockdowns for a decade or so , till our leaders figure it out !!

Excited to see this ln 5 fiasco play out. If they force it to shut down by court order, then we can be rest assured we live in a clown world, and we should be ashamed we allowed these clowns to get to these positions in government to begin with.

Lol...definitely difficult to do anything about. Regionalism is a powerful factor in countries as large and geographically diverse as Canada and the US. Throw into that mix, a federal system where a federal government exists, but shares power with provincal and state governments that also wield substantial power, and these kind of conflicts are inevitable. unless you have a totally centralized, ...more

ENB's tunnel plan is only solution for Line5. Both sides of politicians should get it done as soon as possible. Come on! The 70years old dual pipeline needs a timely replacement. That crazy stuuupeed US governor is jeopardizing environmental and economical interest of both US and Canada. Hate those liberals, they should hang themselves.

Gretchin Witmore needs a kick in the you know what. She has been gov for two years and is trying to make a name for herself. Great let her keep it up .  Enbridge has a plan in place for the tunnel but she wants to make more headlines trying to prove she is standing up to the big bad oil companies. Her time will come sooner than she thinks.

This is largely theatre, which politicians seem to love. Fact of the matter is, whatever the outcome, its win-win for her. If the shutdown somehow is upheld by the courts, she keeps her promise to her constituents and boosts her environmental bona fides.  If she loses in court, she can say, "I tried, but its out of my hands"...business goes back to normal, and she can still check ...more

Thats exactly what's going to happen! This will be tied up in the courts for years but may get resolved faster after next election, depending on who's who in the zoo.

It sto bad that the left leaning snowflakes are pushing this world into litigation so often just so they can find out they were wrong. But hey its making the lawyers richer. It will drive up oil prices as well. When that happens costs will go up which will drive up inflation which will drive up interest rates  which will leave more people homeless. But hey i lived through 18% rates in the 80& ...more

First off calling them leaders is a stretch and it would take more than a decade. They have no concept what is going on especially the two pin heads that got elected in Canada and the US. I hope the price of oil goes to 150. That is when reality will hit them
