CIBC analysts sets 12 month target at $40

CIBC analyst Dennis Fong reiterated a Buy rating on Suncor Energy (NYSE:SU) on Thursday, setting a price target of C$40

Fong expects Suncor Energy to post earnings per share (EPS) of $0.54 for the second quarter of 2021.

Seems like a safe call , back to pre-covid pricing. Unless SU has been permanently impaired some how. A lot of the upstream competition is back or above pre-covid. Exceptions are Noteably SU and VET, both of whom cut their dividends. SU is much more affected by what happens in Canada due to their size-able downstream. Once the Canadian economy gets off its backside, SU should do better than most.

Fong is a Dong and is usually Wong! LOL CIBC and RBC are the worst of the worst . They set the bar high and sell and walk down energy stocks. Maybe these folks are the ones that do the dirty work for the US. IMO
