Investor day not environmentalist day

WTF is this it wasn't very long ago Suncor was ten bucks higher than Imperial. I haven't heard anything today to show either going to recover lost ground or increased dividend yet.

Imperial is @ $11 higher than Suncor now because they raised the dividend with their last Q report and sp moved up 25-30%. like oil price IMO is higher than it was pre pandemic, most other oil cos are SU still needs @ 40% move up to get to pre pandemic sp levels when oil was @ 55bbl

No matter what SU does they are never going to get any credit from the environmental lobby so why waste billions on a black hole of negative sentiment . Crank up the plants and increase the dividend , you will never convert the unconvertable so take care of the shareholders you still have .

Exactly. Overall it was a woke presentation with woke language and lofty environmental promises for a radical group that have been predicting the end of the world and keep getting it wrong every decade. Why does Al Gore still have a platform after predicting Miami will be underwater in 2014? Why are we still pushing this radical ignorant garbage? The fact of the matter is, the company is not so much trying to appeal to the "environmental lobby" as it is trying to greenwash itself to appear a more "suitable" investment for institutional investors in general who are increasingly adopting ESG metrics when it comes to picking investments. In a ways it makes sense, more institutional support should equal better share price ...more

This green insanity is more politics as opposed to reality , the hypocricy (or ignorance) is incredulous . They have totally lost sight of the fact that everything from IV bags to yoga pants exist because of petroleum let alone heating and transportation . If you took away the benefits of O&G like products and freedom to travel , the environmentalists would be screaming the loudest .  ...more
