Deja vu 2020?

Last year virtually every oil co stock dropped 40-50% from August to October before seeing rebounds of 100-300%.
Does history ever repeat?
Is it better to sell now, at least oil stocks wise, and sit on the sidelines with cash? until the inevitable October bottoming out of markets? That has repeated many times over the years. Seems like an every year thing.
Even gold has no lustre.

That may depend on if you are a trader or an investor but for what it's worth, I plan to hold my position. In hindsight, I could have sold at $30 and then waited for SU to bottom and buy in again but if history does repeat, my missed opportunity won't matter that much. If you believe - as I do - that we are in a commodity bull market, it's easier to just sit back and ride the waves ...more
