Service

Daughter recently retired from Air Force. Son-in-law Chinook pilot, served in Afghanistan and Mali. I don't believe the world is going to hell in a hand basket. There are lots of great young people around. I agree totally with Experienced about how sweet freedom is. To be able to rant about our politicians, to travel freely and pea away our time and wealth according to any drunken whim, these are great joys. It is also great and appropriate to salute those who sacrificed to pass on these freedoms to us.

Thank your daughter and son-in-law for their service - much appreciated I agree with you that there are many great young people still out there.  I would like to think that my four children are in that category. That said, the challenge, and this is nothing new, is for these great young people to find a way to hear their voices heard over the seemingly crazy and misguided people who are ...more

Farmer12 , on behalf of my family I would like to thank your daughter and son-in-law for their service . Today we all reflect on the selfless actions , sacrifice and true cost of freedom but their service is appreciated every day .

I had a grandfather who served in WW1. He took a rifle shell in his skull, yet miraculously he survived . What do I owe to those who served .My very existence !! I salute him and everyone else who stood on guard for us !!
