Why wait ten years?  Most of my money is in real estate. Record low listings, they can't build fast enough and in the the areas that are most desirable.  I live in Victoria and its surrounded by ocean, ALR and water shed where they can't build

Trudeau should nationalize Suncor, and call it Petro Canada.

LOL....where I have heard that before...Ohhh....Justin's Dad What is interesting back then was that word had leaked out that they were going buy the oil company and so the stock price went up and never went down.  Canada paid a huge price to buy it. At the time I had some friends who worked for the Auditor General and suggested that they look into it.  They did...studied it and ...more

It made me a sort of Forest Gump as looking back I almost always seem to have been there when interesting things were happening. Contrary to the Chinese adage , it was a benediction rather than a curse even ...more

Canada is like Nigeria except all the suoernational have fled while they remain in Nigeria and Africa LOL. SU is an embarrassment and laughing stock being the only third world country allowing rampant pollution and money laundering, the highest child bride ratio, and 50 % female abuse in the G20. At least JT rolls like an African despot in his 2 new BBD jets! Looks like Ghadafi Lybia except with ...more

Yep had a similar experience in my life dealing with northern pipeline issues, the Berger Commission, Pierre Trudeau's National Energy Policy and Jack Gallager's forays in the Beaufort to name a few. Look at them fondly now - but not so much from time to time back then...lol
