I have had some experience with this issue with Stockhouse and asked them to correct the problem since I was concerned that a hack might affect my investment portfolio. After my request....crickets from Stockhouse With some reluctance, I sent them email indicating that if they didn't correct the problem to protect my identity, I would call the Privacy Commisioner and have them investigate. &

This is Canada there is no privacy protection unless you expressly send opt out notice then there is no consequence for breach. You should file a small court claim though they will either settle or burn 5-20 K in legal by the time it's scheduled for trial then just withdraw the case haha.

If you have a privacy issue with SH, then you're oblivious to the other companies out there that have been harvesting much more of this data to the point where companies like FB know when you take a dump based on geolocation, time spent there and the foods you eat. And even if you don't use FB, your phone alone is Apple/Google software, which means the same thing. SH would be the least of
