With a yield
Almost at 5% why would they increase the div ? Isn't it better for them to buy back their cheap shares ?

Wrong. We need more buybacks. Cut the dividend to .21 just to piss off nicky here lol. No but seriously, they save a ton of $$$ not having to pay dividends to the shares they repurchase... 8-10 mil per quarter. So 32-40 mil saved per year. That's great stuff, keep buying them shares!

They are still being punished for the mistrust it caused from the last time they cut it. No point in owning this heavy weight without it.

You just have to sell some shares at high price, for now they have a big return of 4.33% plus higher price of the shares, in 6 months, 23.00 to 37.00CDN, not bad and 50.00 in the coming months, what's the problem?

mrbb, I'm guessing your ACB for SU is around $30.50 for you to think that 5.5% is the current dividend yield... It's currently just under 4.53% - nice gain for you though. Perhaps, it's a good time to average up.

The yield changes with the SP..........just divide the current Sp for that day or the price you paid for the stock into $0.00 that they're paying out per share......that's your % yield.
