What is concerning about the Russia war

I have a large position in SU and CNQ made a lot of money this year, just worried about Putin being taken out or an end to the war I was listening to an analyst today about not wanting to be in oil because of this.  CNQ is ex dividend on Sept 15 so I held on even though I was up and down a lot of money not sure it is worth it I'm making good money with interest rates going up

Good question. Frankly, I would be more worried about interest rates going up than whether or not Putin gets taken out. The thing is that even if Putin where to be taken out ( a long shot IMHO), we have no idea who would be in charge then.  Sorta like the old saying "Be careful what you wish for". In terms of the world energy/oil situation, I would be very surprised if a Putin ...more

Right. Not that concerned. Putin is well suppported in Russia which makes this unlikely, but if he loses power, it will be that someone else will change his policies and a government that will be more pro west.  otherwise , no need for a change as the cronies still benefit. I have zero faith that governments somehow see the light, and come together to unite in friendship and hold hands ...more
