At the present valuations both dividends yeald the same per dollar of investement.

CNQ dividend 0.85 per share per quarter
SU dividend  0.52 per share per quarter
1000 shares SU $46,000.00 you earn $520.00 every quarter x 4 = 0.0425 % per dollar per year
1000 shares CNQ $80,000.00 you earn $850.00 every quarter x 4 = 0.0425 % per dollar per year

And that's why raising the dividend can generally raises the stock price.

I agree, just making the comparsion. Some people think CNQ is a better investment because of the larger dividend.
