State of EV's in China

Not ready for prime time in the near future.

This not ment as insult , just  a different take.
BTW, I  have owned a Tesla for over 5 years now and not dissing the movement.

vr6loco:  All well-intentioned input should always be welcome.  Nobody learns from hearing themselves speak. Here are the real numbers: " As you can see from the car fire data compiled from the NTSB, gasoline is a lot more combustable. Who knew? If you ...more

All due respect, I really don't think you watched that video I posted. It was referring only to EV's built in China, not other parts of the world. There are many reasons why the Chinese brands are not sold in NA, safety is a big one. I realize the video is a bit long and ads don't help, I would hope that you would watch it to the end. Let me know if you would put your family in any of ...more

If they want to push the whole EV vehicle transition, they had better start mandating the vehicle pricing down to reality. As it stands right now, they are overpriced and unattainable for the every day person. The fact of the matter is that people are barely surviving...living pay cheque to cheque. One only has to look out on the roads and see the amount of beaters being driven around. The bottom ...more

We will need to see how this plays out. In China, BYD, for example, sells their EVs in a price range of 15-35K US$.  Musk plans to unveil a 25K US$ car within the next couple of years.  One of the big costs of EVS is the battery itself and the technology related to batteries is improving dramatically as money is being poured into this.  A Canadian company has already developed a ...more

Experienced, I have read many of your posts, and I must admit your thoughts are well thought out and communicated.  I am curious as to what companies you are invested in in the EV space? Thank you,

Thanks for you kind words... In terms of your question, as a financial advidor ,I was in the business of making specific recommendation.  When I retired many years ago, I decided that i was no longer in that business anymore and as such would refrain from specifc recommendations.  I don't even make specific recommendations to my friends anymore...lol. That said, what I can tell you ...more
