You just can't change the laws of physics. Even with the most current advancements, the mass based energy density of batteries is in the range of 0.1 to 0.27 kWh/kg. Gasoline, is 13 kWh/kg energy density. Hydrogen gas at 700 bar pressure is 39.6 kWh/kg, which is 3 times better than gasoline. Now this is why you don't have gasoline powered spaceships, where weight is critical. We must ...more

As some may appreciate , the answer to lower GHG production is already readily available. That is natural gas. Many cite that natural gas produces 50 % less CO2 than coal. That is true on a stoichiometric basis. Yet on the basis of producing electricity , it can be much higher due to the high efficiency of nat gas fired turbines operating in combined cycle mode. In those instances nat gas can ...more

actually, commercial rockets do use petroleum as rocket fuel because economic while cost is no object for NASA that uses liquid hydrogen.   I can't see how regulators would approve H2 fuel at 700 bar pressure for retail use. The potential risk of leak and accident of ultra high pressure tank and the tank cost would easily rule out mass adoption. There are several hydrogen options out ...more

the whole goal of climate change fear mongering is to eliminate oil and gas period. Less energy, less eaters, less people, populaton reduction. Remember, we are the carbon they want to reduce or eliminate.  that aside. the push for hydrogen power is just a side show to distract and confuse the masses.  you see, when we combust H2 in ICE or in a fuel cell to produce electricity, water ...more
