A Rant - Just Ignore Me...

At dinner tonite, my wife and I were watching the news....local news but also international

Almost every story was unbalanced with many important facts not mentioned.  "News" in today's day and age is NOT news but propaganda.  It is no wonder that people are so divided - it is aided and abetted by the media.

Does this have any relevance to SU?

Actually I think so.

We have been discussing here "the bird issue".  In the absence of balanced/investigative reporting, the regulators have no choice but to investigate a non issue.

In the US, they just fired Tucker Carlson and Don Lemmon.  Their combined annual salary was 40 million!!  YEP...40 MILLION.  Were they worth that amount ?  Dunno but I have my opinion.  If their salary was even say 20 million, that would give their respective networks the money to pay many lower paid investigative reporters to actually accurately inform people about the true facts.

Gonna happen?

NOT A CHANCE!!

Make them uncertain about ...more

Carlson and Lemon,  both so called journalists,  a word that has almost no relevance to actual news reporting,  are one and the same. They both are more interested in sounding off on their own opinions about news worthy events than any hard core investigative examination of the facts.  Don't let facts get in the way of their diatribes.  Guests are brought in to back ...more

Agreed...couldn't have said it any better myself my friend.... I often say to my friends that FOX and CNN should change their names.. CNN becomes CON - Cable Opinion News FOX becomes FON - Fishy Opinion News MSNBC - they are so bad that they don't deserve a new name! Obviously they have followers since they can pay their anchors millions a year.
