Information or misguided agenda
If Kman or mrbb or anyone else wants to post something intelligent, or respond in a meaningful way to the facts (such as today's news that Toyota sales are crashing and more cities and even countries are going to be following Victoria's lead and strive for zero cost renewable energy), then I'm all ears.
Unfortunately, all I'm reading are mindless jabs with no basis other than inferring "Obscure1 is stupid or a bad guy". It would be great to read intelligent rebuttals why crashing Toyota sales don't matter or reasons why other countries won't be following Australia's lead towards a renewable future.
I don't see any rules that you have to own shares in a company to post here. I'm not short SU and I don't have a vendetta towards the company or any poster. I'm not telling anyone to sell Suncor shares. I'm not making stuff up. I'm not posting FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt).
These forums tend to become echo chambers where readers visit to find support for their confirmation bias. What makes the SU forum special is that some posters actually contribute information and intelligent posts.
MigraineCell is an example of an intelligent poster. He believes believes oil prices will go up and documents facts and well thought out explanations to support his belief/.
MigraineCell is a bright guy with nerves of steel who thrives on risk. The difference between MigraineCell and every other poster that I have seen posting on this forum is that he is a pro who is diligent when it comes to studying oil demand and supply numbers and he follows the data and commentary closely. He also appears to be disciplined about geting in or out when he "feels" a trend developing. As such, I suggest that MigraineCell is NOT a Suncor investor, but rather a well informed trader who plays Suncor and other oil holdings in the same way that a profession poker player plays the hand that he has been dealt. Good on him for doing what he is good at. I don't see anyone else on this thread that shares Migraine's skill set.
For those that don't have Migraine's skill set, one would think that at a very minimum, they would strive to understand the issues that Suncor faces so that they can make a well informed and intelligent investment decision about Suncor.
Suncor is in a death spiral. No amount of dividends are going to make up for the inevitable capital losses that SU shareholders are going to endure with a "buy and hold" strategy. Proficient traders like MigraineCell will make money along the way regardless of the final outcome. Will you?
Suncor keeps doubling down on its land-locked transportation fuel products that are 100% for sure going to be facing diminishing demand in the future. The institutions that have exited know it. Teck and Total both know it.
Nobody ever intends to make a bad decision.
I post here to educate people about ALL the facts. What readers do with the information is up to them.
I'm just the messenger. If the information in my posts make you feel uncomfortable, then perhaps they are a sign that you might want to revisit your decision making process about your Suncor investment. Or, you can believe that I have some mis-guided agenda and put me on ignore.
