EV Math and Digital Cameras
Right now there are two main issues related to the adoption of EVs.
1....they are expensive
2....the full cycle cost at current electricity prices makes them cheaper
The same principles applied to the introduction of the digital camera in 1975. At that time, just like today WRT to oil and EVs, people said that digital cameras were too expensive and so they would stay with print film. People continued to invest in Kodak and it was paying a great dividend.
Fast forward to today and where is Kodak?? Now pretty much everyone has a digital camera on their phone - not to mention also being able to text and actually speak in person to someone (from time to time..lol)
Lesson learned?
It took about 20 years for print film to disappear and 25 years for Kodak to become bankrupt.
As I have mentioned before, in my lifetime, when I look around the world today most of what I see didn't exist when I was a kid.
Don't ever underestimate the power of change!! If you do, you will most certaintly make bad investment decisions!!

Had to sign in to express an "ouch". LOL I have to agree with mrbb today. Sometimes @experienced gets to the point that it feels as if he is a plant for the globalists. I beleive we should hear from the late great Neil Peart - Red Barchetta...... GLTA today.

Thanks for your opinion. So I take it that you disagree with my last statement that shrewd investors take into account the power of change when making investment decisions. Good luck with that and I hope it works out for you.

I probably have old unprocessed film in the basement that I haven't throw out. I am curious why anyone would pay for what appears to be junk.

Geez, I think I bought the same set for each of my sons. I hope they still have them.
