Biden: $15.5 billion more to help Big 3 convert to EV's

Nothing to see here.

ICE plants will never do more than to pretend to build those over-priced, range-limited, unreliable, impossible to start in winter EV's whose batteries are crazy expensive and don't last.

Nobody listens to Biden as Trump will be back in power real soon.  Trump and his cronies may have to run the country from Super Prison 1 but think how much money will be saved on security and not paying for Air Force 1.

The $15 billion offered by Biden to create plant conversions and offer high paying jobs to areas that have existing ICE plants will be gratefully accepted.  Mary Barra will undoubtedly be at the head of the line with promises she never intends to keep as always.  By the time government has figured it out, the money will be spent.

The Big 3 won't want to forego the $500 million each in production every week because of a silly UAW strike.  Of course the Big 3 will give the UAW their 46% raise AND create a 32 hour work week to keep the production lines running.  Who cares.  The auto makers will simply pass the cost on to their loyal customers who love to pay for their grossly overpriced Ford 150's as it's the American way. At least it is not as bad as the Canadian way which has resulted in the TMX pipeline being 400% over budget.

There is no need to worry about the 65% increase in EV sales this year as they are just a fad.  Those left wing gender confused flakes just dont get it.  The S Curve trajectory for adoption rates are just a conspiracy theory.

Suncor needs to keep buying up the oil patch and build more PetroCan stations for the day when EV's are exposed as a fraud.

Suncor's value is higher right now than when some people ran away in the Fall. Suncor's value is considerably higher then when some people advised their children to sell in 2022.  Some people locked into 4% GICs, and some people may have sold today with more than 4-5X that amount in less than a year. (Not even including divies here) Some people win and some people win considerably ...more

Yup, SU is about $1.50 higher than when I sold.  One of my sons sold at about $42 average and the other at $48 average. You are correct that we used a lot of the proceeds to move into an overnight cash (TDB8150) that paid about 4% at the time. At that time, interest rates were rocketing up and cash seemed like a good idea at the time.  When TSLA got slammed down, we used a chunk of the ...more

Aww the pip squeaks are coming out.  I worked 60 plus hours per week my entire adult life before retiring.  Hard work.  Lots of pressure.  Many families depending upon me to provide work and the men in those families loyal to the core in mutual respect.  In those days, men were men.  Then, along came the internet where those who have done nothing with their ...more

The pot calling the kettle black? For an old man with all you're money, you'd think you would have better things to do then sit on stockhouse chat forum defending yourself and spewing antagonistic garbage...Not to mention grandstanding to everyone about how great you are. If my life ever got to that sad level, I'd hope that someone would take my computer away and knock some sense in to ...more

Obscure.... When I read some of the posts here and the one that you responded to, I am reminded of my youthful ignorance and lack of respect for people with much more experience and knowledge than I had at the time. Fortunately for me, I learned quite by coincidence, the value of listening to people who had the wisdom of time served in their favour.  41 years ago, almost to the day, I was ...more

Experienced my comment on your eloquent post is as follows: 1. Knoledge can be bought and sold: 2. Genius is encoded in the genes some humans; 3  Wisdom however, is gained over time by a very few, who worked for it - so it is precious. Sadly some of the verbose posters are excluded from  people  who would be in line 3. Thank you for your wise words. Learning is a life-long task ...more

It must be obvious that I have no spellchecking intalled, so the word should have been KNOWLEDGE. Sorry.

Learning is lifelong and gained through our successes and failures of which most of us have experienced many of both. Wisdom is also gained through our failures, successes and life experiences as we travel this mostly wonderful path in life. Those who claim to have great wisdom I have less appreciation and respect for than those who show  wisdom through their actions, helpfulness, advice ...more

don't worry about minor grammar hiccups here and there, if it doesn't change the message, don't fret over it. I judge a book by its content not its cover.  Da beutee of da inglesh langurich is halfing sum missbelling wards  dozen chage da missige.

At least the cards are on the table, and we an all understand the endless EV posts ad nauseum. The anonymity that the internet provides allows you to boast of 7 figure gains (2 times even!) but it also provides dates for when you claim to have sold as you spammed the board with doom and gloom. The only reason I noticed is because I used to read your posts- until I noticed an agenda. My ...more

I post about EV's because they interest me.  Anyone that thinks that their posts will move the market of a large cap stock is delusional.  Anyone posting that that someone has an agenda to promote a large cap stock is whatever comes after delusional.   Talking about outcomes is not boasting.  Migraine is a great asset to this board and he posts about his wins and ...more

Hightown- Thanks for your sense of humor and being able to see thru some of these silly posts. As you say, anonymity allows losers to make all kinds of claims on the internet. Most of these guys bought Amazon at a buck a share and are still holding! Too funny. You have common sense and patience so I am guessing that you have done quite well in Oil and Gas stocks throughout the years. Take some ...more
