Biden is just helping China and India in being able to secure more $60 oil from Russia while the west pays $90, like they needed more of an economic advantage what with labour costs a mere fraction of the west.
And $90ish oil virtually ensures a rate hike in November, seems more of a question of .25 or .5

liljohnny......a big YEP Oil is up 4% on the new sanctions and this doesn't help in the battle to reduce inflation.  "The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight" shoots themselves in the foot once again. A long time ago, I posted here a prediction that the Fed rate would climb to 5.75,  The rate at that time was 4%.  Before this latest move by the US Government to ...more

liljohnny....guess it all depends on what kind of life you are looking for.. While I am totally happy living where I live right now and spend a few months of the year travelling, if I were to move anywhere else, the thought of living in a polluted city of 22 million people would not be my first choice or even my 20th for that matter. For my lifestyle, there are many inexpensive places to live ...more

but with CDMX you get the bonus of "the Big One" earthquake destroying the city, and the volcano Popocatepetl nearby could blow anytime! thought about living in Costa Rica for tax reasons when younger but will now stay here and travel when possible and pay my carbon tax here, waiting for an EM tax to kick in when EVs become more popular              ...more

Yup I agree and I have been chasing a 200 pound tuna the last 5 years in the Cabo area in the fall.  (Broke a leader on a 300 pounder) Bahamas possibly but Costa Rica really interests me.  Fishing is world class even if there a bit of environmental
